Make Heaven Your Home

Many people say that you can't know for certain that you are going to Heaven until you get there, but the Bible teaches that you can be 100% sure.

"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God, that ye may know that ye have eternal life..."
1 John 5:13

If you are anything less than 100% sure that you are on your way to Heaven, the Bible teaches that there are four things you must believe to get there:

First, you have sinned against God.

"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God"
Romans 3:23

Second, there is a payment for sin.

"For the wages of sin is death..."
Romans 6:23a

The Bible tells us that death is eternal separation from God in Hell.

Third, Jesus Christ paid your sin debt when He died on the cross, was buried and on the third day rose from the dead.

"But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
Romans 5:8

Fourth, you must trust in Jesus Christ completely and receive His gift of salvation.

"For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness: and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation"
Romans 10:10

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Romans 10:13

If you are willing to trust Jesus Christ as your Savior, then right now, in simple faith, call upon Him in prayer:

"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I'm a sinner. I believe that you died on the cross for me. Please forgive me of my sin, save me and help me to live for You. Amen."

If you prayed this prayer and meant it from your heart, then you have a home in Heaven. You have God's Word on it!

Rejoice in What God Has Done for You

Now that you have received the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, some wonderful things have happened:

You have been saved from an eternity in Hell.

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Romans 10:13

You have received eternal life as a gift.

"...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Romans 6:23b

Your sins are forgiven.

"To Him give all the prophets witness, that through His name whosoever believeth in Him shall receive remission of sins."
Acts 10:43

You have become a child of God.

"But as many as received Him, to them gave He the power to become the sons of God, even toward them that believe on His name."
John 1:12

Jesus has received you.

"Him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out."
John 6:37
